Best places to watch sunsets in Italy – Cinque Terre

Has anyone noticed that sunset is usually more brilliant in colors than sunrise?

When reality is like a painting itself at sunset... a beautiful mixture of brilliant colors in the sky that seems to have merged as one with the Mediterranean sea

This is because in the evenings, there are more particles in the atmosphere  built up throughout the day, scattering colors that are of longer wavelength that pass through.

No wonder this beautiful natural phenomena has captured the hearts of mankind since the beginning of time.

Naturally, the time from sunset to dusk is often associated with romance, reflection, contemplation, or even sadness and solidarity.

Twilight after sunset at Manarola, one of the 5 villages in Cinque Terre

With an unobstructed view of the setting sun playing hide-and-seek between the glowing clouds, and the shimmering sea that reflects the  changing colors of the sky, the cries of the seagulls and the sounds of  the splashing of waves, watching the sunset in coastal areas is truly a magical experience.

What makes it even more unforgettable is:  Each sunset is unique.

No 2 sunsets are identical. Such is the real beauty of nature that God has given to mankind

So, make this moment last by capturing it on camera.

Over at Cinque Terre, one can enjoy the sunset to dusk in peace either at the walking paths by the sides of the cliffs that stretches from Monterosso to Riomaggiore,  or at the terrace in one of the hotels and Bed & Breakfast, that offers the view of the sea and sometimes, of the village too.
